Policy on Customer Data Handling

 This policy outlines how Battalion  3 Technologies (“BATT3,” ”we,” “us,” or “our”) handles customer data in accordance with industry best practices. We understand the importance of data security and privacy and are committed to protecting the information entrusted to us by our customers.

 2. Data Security

 2.1 Secure Storage: Customer data transmitted to our servers is stored securely using industry-standard encryption protocols. We utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) for server hosting, which is renowned for its robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.

 2.2 AWS Security: AWS employs a comprehensive range of security controls to protect customer data. These measures include physical security, network security, access controls, data encryption, and regular security audits. By leveraging AWS, we ensure that customer data is safeguarded against unauthorized access and potential breaches.

 3. Ownership and Retention

 3.1 Ownership: We acknowledge that the ownership of customer data remains with the customer. We do not claim any ownership rights over the data shared with us.

 3.2 Data Retention: By default, we retain customer data indefinitely unless otherwise specified by the customer. However, if a customer provides us with written notice requesting a specific data retention period, we will honor their request. Once the specified retention period is met, the data will be purged from our servers and will become unretrievable.

 4. Data Retrieval

 4.1 Customer Requests: We understand that customers may need access to their data for various reasons. Upon receiving a written request from a customer, we will promptly retrieve their data and provide it to them in a secure and convenient manner.

 5. Termination of Agreement

 5.1 Data Transfer: In the event that a customer terminates their agreement with us, they have the right to request the transfer of their data back to them. We will facilitate the secure transfer of their data to the customer’s designated location or storage medium.

 5.2 Data Purging: Additionally, upon termination of the agreement, customers can request the complete purging of their data from our servers. We will ensure that all customer data is permanently deleted from all live applications. Backup data will remain for a period of 30 days after acknowledgment of the request to purge data.

 6.1 Regulatory Requirements: We are committed to complying with applicable data protection and privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards. Our data handling practices adhere to these requirements to ensure the legal legitimacy of our policies.
